The Vineyards

A renowned vintner once said, “Great wines are not made in the winery, but in the vineyard.” Inspired by this philosophy, our mission is to cultivate the highest-quality cold-hardy grapes possible.

We are not just proud of our terroir—we are deeply connected to our watershed and community. Our vineyard practices are rooted in sustainability, prioritizing soil health through informed cultural techniques that minimize the need for fertilizers and fungicides. Situated along an arm of the Blackhoof River, we embrace our responsibility as stewards of both the land and water, just as we do our commitment to producing exceptional grapes and wines.

What began as an experiment in grape-growing in northern Minnesota has evolved into a thriving vineyard. Of the original 11 varieties planted, we now cultivate five carefully selected grape varieties, with ongoing trials to determine the cultivars best suited to our region’s unique conditions. Spanning over six acres in the heart of Blackhoof Township, our vineyard is home to more than 1,600 vines—each one a testament to our dedication to innovation and sustainable viticulture.

Our wines are crafted in small batches to ensure exceptional quality in every vintage. These award-winning wines are carefully handcrafted and estate-bottled, reflecting our dedication to excellence.
